Ashfield Guesthouse er gististaður með sameiginlegri setustofu í Douglas, 1 km frá TT Grandstand, 12 km frá Laxey Wheel og 22 km frá Rushen-kastala. I loved my stay at Ashfield. My partner and I loved the room. The big windows, the view from the windows, the king bed, the cosy bathroom, the delicious breakfast, the friendly owners... Wow! What a great place to stay! My partner and I booked this for a weekend to attend our friends' wedding. We enjoyed the place so much. We loved waking up to a delicious Full English for breakfast with fresh coffee and juice. There's a little park outside the property, and the main attractions of Douglas are just a 10-min walk. The staff were so lovely... we had a great time! Highly recommend it! Also, they had these mints at the entrance.. uff I became obsessed!

Sail Lofts er gististaður í Douglas, tæpum 1 km frá Douglas Beach og 2,8 km frá TT Grandstand. Boðið er upp á sjávarútsýni. I travel a lot for work and stay in loads of hotels and apartments, mainly booked on Booking.com and Airbnb. Most are OK, some not great, but few are truly exceptional. The Sail Lofts are firmly in the exceptional category. The accommodation was excellent - comfortable and smartly furnished, the location was outstanding, the breakfast provided (in advance) was the best I've ever seen, and the stay was great value for money. Truly a (very rare) 10/10 for me, by far and away the best spot in Douglas that I've stayed - and there have been many!

So ideally located right on the promenade just behind the high street. The landlords were friendly from the start and provided a great stay. I was greeted, shown my room and cooked a lovely breakfast by the owners. The breakfast was hot, tasty and there was a great selection of cereals / juices too. My room which overlooked the sea was spot on. Spotlessley clean, comfortable bed and a great TV, not to mention the super fast Wifi. The fridge in the room was a great touch too.

Inglewood er staðsett í Douglas, aðeins 30 metrum frá sjónum. Það býður upp á sjávarútsýni, bílastæði allan sólarhringinn og ókeypis WiFi. Yolandi and Jacques went above and beyond to provide a perfect stay in their charming B&B. The room was perfect with a very comfy bed & excellent facilities. Everywhere was spotless with the room being cleaned and tea/coffee/etc replaced each day. There were lots of added touches with little extras at the start and end of the stay and the hosts were even kind enough to leave a birthday card & present when they realised it was my birthday! The breakfast choice was wonderful, with everything cooked freshly and served quickly.

Well equipped kitchen. Spacious bedrooms. Very comfortable beds. Nice linens, thick towels. Great location with many restarants nearby. Multiple electrical outlets in every room. Tesco 5 minute walk. Excellent wifi.

The Devonian er í 2 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá ströndinni og býður upp á útsýni yfir Glen Falcon og landslagshannaða garða. The staff were extremely friendly, and very attentive. Breakfast was wonderful and very reasonably priced. The location is perfect, right in the middle of Douglas. Rooms were very tidy and comfortable. There was a storm the day we were meant to sail home and they were very accommodating, letting us keep the room util 6pm and not check out during the day of sailing incase our ferry was cancelled, and then letting us extend our stay for another 2 nights when our boat was cancelled. I'd highly highly recommend the Devonian!

The Cottage, Bridge House er með fjallaútsýni og býður upp á gistingu með garði og verönd, í um 1,7 km fjarlægð frá Laxey-ströndinni. Just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at The Cottage. This is a beautifully presented quirky one bedroom cottage, perfect for the two of us. Upon arrival The Cottage was immaculate & is very well supplied with everything you need for a self catering holiday. There is instant hot water even when heating isn't on, shower has great water pressure too. There is a small private patio area off the kitchen which we didn't use during our stay but in height of summer will be a lovely place to sit. The cottage is alongside the electric railway embankment & viaduct; we believe the cottage was there long before the railway (very slight noise as the train passes, but not intrusive at all). Approx a 10 mins walk to Laxey Beach which when we were there the sun was shining & the bay was a busy & happy place. We used (for the first time) public transport into Douglas, buses were every half hour up until 10pm, then hourly (good app available to check times etc). Short walk up some slightly steep hills onto the main road where there's local shops, pubs the electric railway & where you pick up public transport. Highly recommend & would definitely look at staying here again next time we're on the island.
