We did a lot of sightseeing, we went on the tram, electric railway and Snaefel mountain. We were very lucky as my brother lives on the Isle of Man and showed us every bit of the island.
It was a very enjoyable visit and loved the Isle of Man very much xx

Douglas seems to have everything!
Douglas seems to have everything! The restaurants are many and varied and range from the simple to sophisticated. There are bus services everywhere, and taxis arrive promptly. Shopping is easy, and all the services I needed were centrally located. The Queen scallops are worth a detour.

Beautiful, peaceful town.
Beautiful, peaceful town. People were very kind and always willing to help, ie - with directions, etc.
Just to add on about The Rutland Hotel - the young man at Reception, Kyle I think his name was, ever so helpful and kind. Nothing was a problem for him to assist with. Cannot remember the names of the other staff members. At breakfast, the staff in there were always willing to help. The night reception staff one night, did get us a drink from the bar when we got back in the evening and found the bar shut. He helped us and put it on our hotel bill. That was really so appreciated by myself and my friend Busi. We probably would stay at this hotel again, unless it’s just about trying the other ones. Overall, it is not a bad hotel at all😊

Douglas and The Isle of Man are well worth a visit.
Douglas and The Isle of Man are well worth a visit. There is so much to see and the transport options to get round the island are varied and interesting. The vintage trains are all with a visit - check timetables as some are limited and finish around 4-5pm. Plan a visit to the Tynwald - the oldest continuous parliament in the world - visits are only on Fridays and Mondays - although there is a public gallery for sittings which happen on some Tuesdays. The Manx Musuem is also worth a visit too.

Plenty to see and do, including in evenings (theatre, cinema, music). Good transport links (ferries, airport, around the island). Easy to get around in the town. Enjoyed the beach and promenade, and quayside. Nice places to eat - friendly and welcoming.
Steve and Maria were excellent hosts- warm and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. The bed was incredibly comfortable and perfect after a long day of exploring. The B&B is well placed on the Promenade in an excellent location. Glenfaba is excellent value for money. This was my first visit to the Isle of Man but it won't be my last. Next time I'm on the island, I'll stay at Glenfaba again. Thank you for your hospitality, Steve and Maria!
Great Hotel, great food and great staff always keen to help all the way from house keeping to the restaurant staff.
I played golf at Mount Murray which is attached to the hotel and I enjoyed the Hotel Spa afterwards which I recommend.
This must be the best Hotel on the Isle of Man as they smashed it in every department.
Looking forward to booking again .
Visiting the Isle of Man by bicycle, wasn't too far from the Douglas ferry. Was a lovely stay, plenty of restaurants nearby, easy walk to the high street, and inside storage for the bike! Bedroom and en suite were plenty big, breakfast very filling, and very clean hotel! Would deffo recommend staying here in future to see the island.
Good location, nice room with sea views. Hotel standards in Douglas aren't great generally, but this is one of the better places. The attached restaurant is run by a separate operator, and serves good food with an old-fashioned menu -- it's popular with local people for special occcasions.
Breakfast was excellent, staff were very friendly & helpful eg getting times for steam train etc. also, the receptionists were exceptionally helpful, printing off our boarding passes & booking our taxi to the airport. The hotel is well positioned for getting around Douglas on foot.
We had a great stay in the Claremont hotel. The view to the Douglas bay along with the Refuge is stunning. The staff was very helpful and went an extra mile to make our stay pleasurable. The rooms are cosy and well-maintained. Once back in Douglas I'll definitely stay there again.
everything was fantastic! great location, smooth check in, comfortable and good value for money rooms and a varied breakfast made to order! recommended for anyone visiting Douglas and the Isle of Man. it was better than expected and the best choice for us!
Obviously the hotel has tried to update accommodation to meet expectations of visitors in the 21st century which for what I needed it did. Choice at breakfast was excellent - hot food was hot! The room was clean and decoration tidy
The location is perfect as it's not far the shop, and we never booked any breakfast as not have time in the morning while we stay at the hotel, I am very highly recommend thus hotel if any of my friend will visit Isle of man,
The outstanding feature of this Hotel is the Superb Buffet Breakfast, and the Breakfast Waiting Staff.
Good Car Parking is available.
The Casino is quite Good.
Isle of Man is an excellent place.
Hotel was very reasonably priced, nice quiet location, very clean, staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was good. Given a parking disc to use whilst travelling around island.
