Victoria House was very comfortable. Steam heaters and towel racks enabled me to be able to handwashing and dry numerous items of clothing. We loved the antiques and the ease of the coded entry. We were able to find free parking near the apartment . Enjoyed breakfast a quick step through the alley a few steps away each morning.

The hotel fulfilled all my booking requests (ground floor, walk-in shower, rooms close to each other). We stayed in the cottages, which are nicely appointed. The staff were friendly and the full English breakfast, which was included, was excellent. We also had dinner in the pub restaurant the night before. My husband loved the slow-roasted pork belly and I enjoyed my chicken, chorizo and garlic pie. And since it was Pie Day (Weds) I got a free drink! The hotel's location is also great - right on the market square. Parking is available at the rear.

Such a caraterist historical little village, with an enchanting and peaceful feeling. Every corner, and every building, is so picturesque and deserving photos. Our main meals were at the Stow Lodge Hotel, food quality superb and good value for money. Loved the antique shops and local cafes.

Pretty little Cotswold town with lovely honey coloured stone everywhere.
There is free parking at the local Tesco supermarket, five minutes walk from the town. The town square has is very spacious and also has parking.
If you like coffee and beer, you are in for a treat. There is an abundance of tea and coffee rooms as lots of decent pubs, including the Porch Inn which claims to be England's oldest.
The townhall is worth a visit as it has a very elaborate upstairs hall.
Make sure you get a photo of yourself stood by the two Yew trees that grow at the front door to St Edwards Church - very iconic.
Lots of National Trust properties nearby too.

Especially the Queens Head pub at the end of the square. Landlady Anna and the bar staff Eva really looked after us and we had a great dinner there.
Another tip is the famous Scott’s of Stow kitchen shop and their outlet store full of bargains upstairs.

Terrific location. Stow on the Wold is an ideal place as a geographical center for exploring the Cotswalds. Surrounding villages are mostly within a half hour drive. And even a side trip to Bath was an easy 90 minute drive. Road connections to Heathrow as easy as well. One of the advantages of Stow on the Wold is that it is a slightly larger town that offer a number of dining venues in the village so you don't have to drive anywhere in the evening.
Location was perfect. Walking distance to all the pubs, restaurants and shops in the gorgeous Cotswold village of Stow on the Wold. The house is delightful with cosy sitting room/large screen TV, 4 very comfortable bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen and the icing on the cake - a spacious hot tub which was very much enjoyed by all. Our generous hosts left us eggs, bread, milk and a bottle of wine which was certainly appreciated. We will be back!
