Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Maryfield House Hotel offers accommodation in Bressay. The hotel has a terrace and views of the sea, and guests can enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant. Everything! The owners and staff were warm and friendly, our room was large, comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Our four night stay was the highlight of our two week visit to Scotland.

Brae Hotel was perfect for our stay. Restaurant staff and the gentleman on reception were brilliant - friendly, approachable, and nothing was too much trouble.

In the heart of Shetland, St Magnus Bay Hotel is set in beautiful, tranquil surroundings. It was once frequented by W. H. Auden and Christopher Isherwood, the poet and playwright. The atmosphere around the hotel - the staff especially. They have a mantra that reads "arrive as guests leave as friends" A very true reflection of their approach. Meals brilliant - breakfast to order to include as much as you could eat. A good selection of starters and mains for dinner - never eaten so much high quality seafood - especially the scallops - brilliant. So good to see an old style hotel keeping up with modern needs.

Overlooking the shore of Busta Voe, on mainland Shetland, Busta House is a lovely old building with en suite bedrooms, large garden and superb local food. Really comfortable, lovely surroundings and great food.

Boasting a bar, Scalloway Hotel is situated in Scalloway. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Lovely old restored hotel in a good location.

Offering free WiFi throughout the property, Queens Hotel is set in Lerwick, within a few steps of Bain's Beach. The nearest airport is Sumburgh Airport, 42 km from the hotel. It is perfectly situated. This grand beautiful historic building is being renovated by the present owners. I had a room with a sea view which was magnificent. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I loved the towel warmer and excellent water pressure in the shower. The staff were amazing. Sam, the owner’s son, went above the call of duty to provide towels and vacuum the sand I tracked into the room. Harvey, the owner, was fantastic! He even gave me a ride to the bus station. If you are interested in historic preservation this is the hotel for you. It sits actually into the sea next to Bain’s Beach. I had a fabulous week at the Queens Hotel.

Located in Lerwick, in a building dating from 19th century, 300 metres from Bain's Beach, The Grand Hotel provides guestrooms with free WiFi. The hotel features family rooms. I loved my stay here. My room (324) was just the right size, en suite and located in a quiet wing. The furnishings and whole vibe of the place is Boho/shabby chic. I mean this in a good way. The ambience is laidback, friendly, uncomplicated. One could be extremely picky about some flaws and details in the decor or upkeep of the place, but it was clean, comfortable and not only nice staff but nice clientele as well. I would have stayed there on my return trip, but had private arrangements instead. However, I would definitely go back. The girls serving in the bar, the kind man who made generous breakfasts, and particularly Harvey the owner, were all lovely people. The hotel‘s in a great central location, there are cheaper places to stay, but none with the same vibes or funkiness.

Situated in Lerwick, Shetland's main town, the Shetland Hotel provides an ideal base for all your requirements. Room was very comfortable and the staff at reception and in the restaurant and bar were incredibly nice and helpful.

Modern & well equipped hotel 10 minutes walk from the town centre, nestling on the shore of Breiwick Bay. This attractive hotel is well equipped for the modern traveller and close to local amenities. Beautiful hotel with scenic surroundings.

Set in Lerwick, 600 metres from Bain's Beach, Islesburgh House Hostel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. The location was fantatic: really near the harbour and the commercial street. My room was very spacious and the staff showed me every facility that the hotel had, even if I stayed only for one night.
